I'm Kylie Biddle, an architectural designer, a trustee at the Santa Fe Children's Museum, and most importantly, a child at heart. I've spent years designing and organizing children's spaces, and it always proves the same thing: build a room around how a kid actually plays, and you watch them come alive in it.
My master's in architecture focused on how our surroundings shape our health, which gave me the language for what those kids already taught me. Play is good health. A child's space should never be an afterthought, the place where toys and imagination go to die. I believe every child deserves a space made with their play in mind, and if that's the kind of space you're trying to build, I'd love to hear about it.
